II.Love in action (verses 1-3)

A. Brotherly love

"Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor." Romans 12:10

"Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another..." I Thessalonians 4:9

"Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart..." 1 Peter 1:22

B. Showing hospitality

Philoxenia = friend of the stranger

C. Remember the prisoners

"I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you." Colossians 4:18

"May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains..." 2 Timothy 1:16

D. Guard the sacredness of intimacy

E. Find contentment in God's provision

"Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.
